These three files are intended to generate oriental-sounding names

The Oriental Adventures file generates generic oriental-sounding Consonant-Vowel-Consonant-Vowel-etc type names. No effort has been made to pattern them after any particular real-world Asian dialect/language.

Its return is intended to be read FAMILY Name PERSONAL Name, but because it is generic most returns can be read either way. The randomizer has a parameter for male or female, defaulting to male.

The Japanese Name file has a fairly sizable list of real world Japanese last names, and some effort has been made to add a Japanese sound to the return. I asked a Japanese friend of mine to help me, and the return should be reasonably authentic-sounding to non-experts on the subject. The return is intended to be read FAMILY Name PERSONAL Name, and because real last names are used, this should be observed. The randomizer has a parameter for male or female, defaulting to male.

Finally, the Rokugan file is intended for use with the default setting for 3e Oriental Adventures and the Legend of the 5 Rings. It allows the select of a clan and will generate a name with a FAMILY Name appropriate to that clan. It depends on the KS_JapaneseNames file for its first name returns. It has a clan paramter with each of the Major Clans (Unicorn, Lion, Crane, etc), a single Minor Clan group, a Clanless group, and a Random group; it defaults to Random. The randomizer has a parameter for male or female, defaulting to male.
