Birthright Campaign Database V1.3 README
========================================

Thank you for downloading my software. It's freeware. All I ask
is that you email me at stephenw@mincom.com and let me know your
thoughts. This way, I can be sure to let you know of enhancements
and upgrades.

The Birthright Campaign Database has been developed to store
information about Birthright Campaign games in a PBeM or tabletop,
whether you are a player or a Dungeon Master.

The program is simple to use. Using the Buttons, add information
on the Realms in BR PBeM games you either run or play in. The
program could also be used to store tabletop characters, if you
so desire.

You can then filter the records in the database on either game
name or character name and display only those that match the
entry.

Double Click on the detail line in the grid on the search form
to get a detail form appearing.

After editing a character or inserting a character, press the Save
button to save the changes to the database. This is not a mandatory
requirement, because the act of closing the form saves the changes
if you are in edit or insert mode.

If you have exported characters and want to send the data to
another user of the program (perhaps your DM), there are a couple
of points to note. In the data directory (usually a directory
one level below the installation directory) there are several
files that make up the exported data. All of them should be
sent as a part of the transfer.

The data files are Paradox tables. The tables are:

Main Data Tables:

brdb.* - The core character information and Realm Details
brprovs.* - Province Details

Exported Data Tables:

brtrans.* - The core character information and Realm Details
expprovs.* - Province Details

For setup purposes, your data files should reside in a directory
called 'Data', created under the program directory. See the help
file for full details.

See the file license.txt for the details of the license agreement.

I am in no way affiliated with TSR or Wizards of the Coast. I am
just a player of their games who needed some software.

If you find any bugs in the software or would like to suggest
enhancements, please feel free to email me at stephenw@mincom.com.
I'll attempt to fix them and repost them to the web page as soon
as possible.

---------------------
Comments for changes and enhancements to the program are welcome
and, in fact, solicited. I won't promise to implement any
suggestion, but will see how it fits with that I have visioned
and implement as time permits if it meets what I want to do.
